Loaded for Bear–’The Exit Carnival’

Portland’s Loaded for Bear has released their new full-length album ‘The Exit Carnival’.  This sophomore release available in 12” vinyl or in digital form is a dark, piano-centric, baroque-pop cascade of strings, organs, synth hooks, layered guitars, baritone vocals and layered harmony, backed by eclectic beats and bass and baritone guitars.  The album and accompanying ep forms a precarious synthesis of classical, post-rock, 60’s brit-pop/rock, electronic/ambient and new wave elements within the crucible of an autumnal Northwest soul that at times seethes with funereal desperation.  The LP includes a full album download as well as a 5 song companion EP ‘The Cloak Room.’ All the songs from both the album and ep are available for streaming and download at loadedforbear.bandcamp.com.
