They come to planet earth with just one mission; find the leader of this wacky planet. Drawing inspriration from the sounds of the Caribbean and Africa, Spaceship Excellent fuse together hip-hop, and rock with an expansive sound.

“A Spaceship Excellent show is a humanist revival, a community assembly, a dance party, a come-one-comeall cosmic exhibition. They have played for hundreds of fans at several Seattle venues including Chop Suey and the Comet. Captain Beaujangles’s rhymes are those of a true storyteller with a global conscience and a gift for wordplay.”

Respect the Wu!

ww1.jpgWu-Tang Clan will be performing with RZA, Ghostface, Raekwon, Cappadonna, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God & Masta Killa.

Yeah, that’s right NO METHOD MAN!

I’ve been noticing that more and more Wu shows are happening with the extremely noticeable absence of “M.E.T.H.O.D-man.” What’s a rap show without their hype man? I can’t say that the show will be lacking as GZA, Ghostface, and RZA never disappoint but we can be a little sad. But for a group as exuberant as these rappers, I’m sure they’ll be no shortage of hype

Mike Thrasher and KUBE 93 presents: Wu-Tang Clan with Fatal Lucciauno, Scribes, and Graves. Monday December 1st, 2008 @ The Showbox Sodo.

The Faint and Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head

This Tuesday November 11th @ The showbox at The Market indie favorites The Faint drop by along with very special guest and hometown favs Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head. The tour is in support of The Faint newest album Fasciinatiion, which is their most eclectic and dance inspired album to date.

shsved-head.jpgNatalie Portman’s Shaved Head, Seattle’s most exotically named dance rockers, are quickly gaining notoriety in the indie scene as a band whose style and stage performance are almost as interesting as their synth and electro beat inspired tracks.
