Your knowledge of Pacific NW music festivals is pretty weak... before you decide to speak with authority on music festivals, it seems like you should at least have devoted to some time listening to music.

Helmet at Georgetown Music Fest? I'd see that. "Unsung" is one of the Most Responsible For Matt's Hearing Loss Songs. Evar. And I've never seen em live.

That Kexp BBQ has consistently been one of the Best Summer Music Moments™ in Seattle for me. I've watched it grow up, and it *hasn't* lost its fun along the years. Truly a feat.

And I'm a *freak* for Wolf Parade, and there they are playing at the Sub Pop 20th. That will be one fine weekend.

Scissorhands, you nailed it. The Block Party needs management help. Or they need to push Neumos' walls out. Or both. That said, if you can see Les Savy Fav without getting killed or maimed, or standing in line for 5 hours, it'll be worth it.

SH, great writeup. Thanks.
