I was watching cable TV in all its evil glory a couple nights ago and saw that ad. “Did the KCs license their song to the NHTSA?!”
If it were over-the-hill rockers like Nugent or the Eagles, and now even any of the 80s New Wave bands, sure, I could see it. But KCs are still hip.
Then I saw it again, and realized it was a cheap knockoff.
