Who’s Headed South? Seattle Represents in SXSW

Author Kevin LeDoux   Filed under Music   March 10, 2008

Seattle Heads to SXSWTomorrow (Mar 12) kicks off the 2008 SXSW Music festival. I had the full intention of pouring through the line-up and pulling out all of the must-see shows as well as showcasing the bands making the pilgrimage from our fine and soggy city to the Lone Star State, but Jesus, have you looked at the schedule. Where the hell am I supposed to begin? Why the hell am I still in Seattle?

So to make things at least semi-digestible as well as minimizing my jealousy, I thought I’d give you a quick lo-down on which of our local kiddies are part of (and hosting) some of the parties down in Austin

“Moss-backed SEA bands”–you east-coasters are always makin’ fun of our Sasquatch Syndrome, dammit.

If there was a year to hit up Austin, man, this is it. Were it not for the impending nuptials, I’d say we should make our way next year…
