rbally.net – Live Music Feast – Redux

Author Kevin LeDoux   Filed under Uncategorized   January 2, 2008

About a year ago, NWMBlogger, Matt, wrote us about rbally.net
rbally.net features a collection of (free) MP3s from neumerous bands’ live recordings. Sadly, the site closed down last year but has since reopened for buisiness.
Now this isn’t just a mish mosh obscure prague rock and antiquated grunge. rbally features lots of current music that made it into our Top whatever listings of 2007. Just off the front page today I see Steve Malkmus, Radiohead, and Sonic Youth recordings ranging from 2005 to 1992.
Jennings, the papa of rbally admits he probably won’t be as prolific as he was about posting in the past but thinks it will be reasonable to expect a couple new listings a week, so keep your eye on it.

Quick note for journalistic accuracy, by “Prague rock” do you mean “prog rock” as in “progressive rock.” If you mean that you have a free download site for obscure “Prague rock” that’s probably bad ass since I don’t know of many Czech rock bands. Also, if it’s for obscure “prog rock,” that’s bad-ass also since prog-rock rules.

Nah, I really meant Prague rock. Utterly unheard-of Czech butt rock. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the site has neither prog- or Prague Rock thus further driving the point home that rbally delivers music you’re familiar with and would most probably want. But keep you’re eye out for ANY sort of Czech download site, chances are it’s really reliable and safe to give your CC # to.
