I lived in SoDo when The Premier first opened, and yeah, I can confirm that the owner of Premier was a sound guy for Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. His name is Mark Naficy. I remember seeing him hanging around the club when I lived down in SoDo.
The venue is great. I have seen a few shows there, and hope the Showbox can make it work well. Club closures are always a bad sign, but this space is well thought-out, sounds pretty good, and is in a decent location.</description>
