After all, it's a slippery slope to hippie dancing. I think the one thing that stands out with this band is that the recordings just can't quite capture the disco-wall of funk-punk that explodes from the ensemble cast. The rhythm section is as tight as they come and Mario Andreoni's slick guitar leads make it some of the best dance music of it's kind. Of course, Offer's stage antics are a big part of the overall attraction. The records are good, don't get me wrong, but the live show trumps them through and through. You rarely see that kind of raucous interaction at a venue like Neumo's--or at local rock shows in general.
