British Invasions and Thoughts of Rena
Maybe I’ve written about the late British Invasion fueled by the likes of Art Brut, The Rakes, Arctic Monkeys.

If I haven’t, well, there’s an invasion on, and I’d like you to please add the Voom Blooms to the guilty parties listed above. The Loughborough, England band’s Thoughts of Rena freezes me like a deer in headlights. Its sincerity and tone really get me deep down somewhere. The drums at the open… how they let the song start instead of rushing vocals up to the front… outstanding. And it’s about unrequited love, sigh. If the song was a girl I’d be smitten, no doubt about it.
